2. How do I
know that I am getting my pet back?
In reality you don't, regardless
of who is performing the services for your pet. As with any business it's a matter of trust
and faith and the integrity of those you choose for this service. Many shelters and some
private facilities across the country do a type of cremation that they
deem private when in fact it is not. Several animals are placed in
various locations in the cremation chamber, and noted down. Some
places use a
metal tag with an ID number which is placed with each animal to track whom
it belongs to. During retrieval the remains and associated tag are
removed as carefully as possible and separated out for final
processing. Both systems are error prone and depend upon competent
workers and record keeping to insure that mistakes are not made.
Economics again plays a roll here as this costs more to accomplish.
These costs of course gets passed onto the client.
At Horizon Pet Services you have our
assurance and personal guarantee that the pet brought to us is the
same pet that you take back home with you. That they will be handled
with dignity, respect and integrity. To that end our facilities
are open to all our clients and we will gladly allow you to
participate in as much of the process as you feel comfortable with and
to give you "Peace of Mind". If this is something you are not up to,
you are welcome to have a friend or acquaintance to help out and be there for you.
Our state of the art cremation
equipment allows us to quickly do our job with out incurring time lost
in waiting for systems to cool down prior to retrieval. Our methods
insure that we can accomplish our job with efficiency and respect
while at the same time insuring that your pet is yours and yours
alone. Our process is exactly what occurs with human cremations. This
gives your pet the dignity and privacy that they deserve.
This is so important to us that we feel you
need to be aware of what was normal in the pet cremation industry and how it
is now changing. They way things used to be done is
being turned around through the dedication of folks like ourselves. We
have commitment and drive to insure that all pets get the
dignity and respect they so richly deserve.
